Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
TreadHeads is built to respect your privacy. The game has no accounts, no logins, and no personal-profile setup. This policy explains the little data the game and this website do touch, and why.
The game (TreadHeads app)
- No accounts, no sign-in. You don't create an account or give a name, email, or any personal details to play.
- Co-op is peer-to-peer. Multiplayer runs directly between players' devices over WebRTC. A small signaling server only helps two devices find each other (it relays a short room code and connection handshake) and stores no gameplay data.
- Anonymous progress statistics. The game sends a small amount of gameplay data — which level
you reached, whether you cleared it, how long it took, and how often you were knocked out — so we
can see where the game is too hard or unclear and fix it.
This is tagged with a random identifier generated on your device the first time you play. It is not an account, not your Apple or Google ID, and not an advertising identifier — nothing issued by anyone but the app itself, so it cannot be matched to you or to anything outside our own data. It stays the same across updates and is gone for good if you delete the game.
It contains no name, email, contacts, location, advertising id, or device identifiers. - No ads, no third-party trackers, no analytics SDKs, no data selling.
This website (treadheads.fly.dev)
- Playtest signups (closed). The site no longer collects email addresses. Addresses given during the playtest are still held so we can reach those testers, and are deleted on request — see below.
- We don't sell or share it. Your email is never sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or other third parties.
- No tracking cookies or analytics. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Removal. Want off the list? Email us (below) and we'll delete your entry.
Data retention
Playtest emails are deleted on request, and otherwise once we no longer need to contact those testers. Anonymous progress statistics are kept only as long as they are useful for tuning the game. Because the identifier is random and device-generated, we have no way to find "your" rows on request — but deleting the game stops any further data and orphans what came before.
Children
TreadHeads is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
